We went to visit the Tokodaiji
Temple in Tokyo. The black and white photo is from a brochure.
The calligraphy to the right is something that the monks at the
various shrines and temples in Japan will do for you. I kept
a special book for the purpose but if you don't have one, they'll
use their own rice paper. There's a very small donation to the
shrine for this...a few hundred yen, if I recall.
