Albertus "Shanks" Qua'al Drake (Chris Knudson) Half-Aseku Entertainer; visiting Saldon. Albertus is a young man with a lightly tanned complextion, dressed in a short slashed jacket of burgundy with black accents. His deep-blue trousers are tucked into black felt boots that evidence some form of tap or nails on their bottoms from the light click as he steps. His legs seem disproportionately long for a man barely 5 and a half feet tall. His voice is a clear baritone. His pale hair, more sunbleached than blond, tumbles freely past his shoulders. A brief glimpse reveals two ears, scarred and puffy as a street fighter's.

Lady Annabel Nuncio (John Antonnen) Human Noblewoman; cousin of Lady Estella Nuncio, a native of Saldon. A young human woman, with perhaps a bit of elvish in her ancestry. She is young, maybe in her early twenties and of average height (although high heels may affect that estimate). Her blonde hair is elaborately curled and arranged, withjewelry to add highlights. More jewelry bedecks her hands and ears. Her dress is quite as elaborate, green with pearls and ribbon and lace, and designed to show a tight waist. Her eyes are hazel.

Aryn (Amanda Snyder) Human Cleric of Sangre, visiting Saldon. Aryn is 5 feet 10 inches, with leathery tan skin, dark hair and eyes, not particularly pretty. She is very muscular. Her leather pants are tucked into heavy boots that have seen the last of their newness. A simple broadcloth shirt is worn under a man's long coat. Her dark hair is pulled back indifferently and tied with a leather strap. She smokes cigars.

Father Bazshuir Ra'iv (Rob Munro) Bade'in Cleric of Adoyne; living on Saldon. Baz is a 31-year-old bade'in priest of Adoyne. He is a stocky four feet tall, with a head of curly black hair. His beard is a barely manageable black nest of random curls. He wears high-quality clothing of functional cut in earth-tone shades.

Lord Cecilio Black (Jaime Matthew) Human Nobleman; brother of Jarret; a native of Saldon. Pet cat, Blanco. A handsome young man of obvious Saldonian origin, with short, black hair (peppered ever so slightly with silver) and milky-white eyes. He is garbed entirely in white, wearing a high-collared white silk shirt with silver mother-of-pearl buttons, a white silk cravat, a fashionably cut white vest and white pants which are tucked into white soft leather boots. Over all of this he wears a long, loose-fitting white coat with silver buttons and trim. In his right hand he carries a white wooden walking cane with a polished silver head. He is blind.

Gwaivorn Craban (Rachael Hixon) Aseku Warrior; visiting Saldon. His eyes are amber, framed by dark lashes. His hair is long and black , with several slender braids at either side of his face. He wears a dark red shirt with a high collar and a simple, interlacing design in gold thread at collar and wrists. His breeches are of soft deer-hide, dyed hunter-green. He also wears both belt and baldric of black leather, though their knotwork design is beginning to wear away. Indeed, only his low, soft-leather boots have the look ofnewness about them. A knife-hilt protrudes from his right boot, and a knife with crescent-moon hilt and pommel, hangs at his belt, its hilt wrapped in green leather. On his back he is wearing a longsword of simple yet elegant design that seems to match his dagger in many respects. However, the sword has the same glint of mithril as Silvarryn's weapon and a large moonstone is set in its pommel. The green leather wrapped around its hilt has grown pale, and the designs on its scabbard are worn.

Lord Jarret Black (Scott "Coz" Snyder) Drow Nobleman; brother of Cecilio; a native of Saldon. Jarret is a rather striking looking figure resplendent in all black, save for a dark red-and-black embroidered waistcoat. With black pants tucked into high, soft leather boots—looking worn but well cared for—black silk shirt, complete with black cravat, and exquisitely tailored black velvet knee-length coat, the man looks the negative image of Cecilio in white. Black skin, slender pointed ears, grey eyes, and long white hair pulled back and tied with a wide black ribbon make this negative image complete. Under his coat, and protruding slightly through a slit in the side of the garment, one can see the black scabbard and black-and-silver hilt of a rapier.

Joram (P. J. Vander Kooij) Human Servant to Father Thaddeus; a native of Saldon. Joram is 19 years old and has a barely-visible burn scar that runs down the side of his neck into his clothing.

Jovani diPaolo (Catherine Munro) Human Mage; native of Saldon. Jovani is just over six feet tall, but slightly built, and stands with a somewhat self-conscious stoop. His skin is smooth and clean-shaven, and his dark, coffee-black eyes are soft and alert behind delicate wire-rim spectacles. His features are sensual and pleasing, paradoxically heightened by his complete lack of jewelry and accessories. His clothes are finely cut and plainly brand new—a burgundy velvet thigh-length vest with gold lacing over a cream-colored linen shirt and matching cream-colored breeches. He wears a gold-edged white silk cravat at his throat.

Lady Morgana Cataline, of House Beauquier (Sherri Gantt) Aseku Noblewoman; native of Saldon. Morgana is a gorgeous woman, 6 feet 2 inches, with knee-length platinum, copper, and gold-streaked hair. She has delicate pointed ears, gold-flecked turquoise blue eyes, and a slender and delicate face.

Oran Travendal (Adam Collinge) Human Mercenary; newcomer to Saldon. Oran is 6 feet 2 inches and 175 lbs—tall, fit, and graceful. He is 25 years old and has shoulder-length black hair, grey eyes, and a close-cropped black beard. He wears clean but not ornate tunic, trousers, and long coat, and carries a longsword and dagger.

Lord Petrucio Dennaci (Tana Ragsdale) Human Nobleman; native of Saldon. A fairly handsome-looking fellow with a slender, athletic build and golden blond locks that fall to mid shoulder, held back with a silver clasp. His eyes are an icy green. He's dressed in black velvets and silks, all trimmed smartly in silver.

Silvarryn Aque'llynthel (Nicholas Burden) Grey-Elven Bladesinger; stuck on Saldon. Five feet, three inches and no more than 109 lbs, Silvarryn has oval violet eyes and long, wavy pale gold hair that falls to his shoulders and is held out of his face with a silver circlet. He wears aseku attire in white with gold lining, decorated with embroidered leaves in gold. The only human clothing he wears is a white scarf wrapped around his neck. He has a star-shaped earring in one of his ears and bears a jeweled longsword -- probably mithril -- in a jeweled scabbard.

Taheton Onacona (Jo Gerrard) Human Ex-Mercenary; lives in Saldon. Even if his copper-colored skin and eyes so dark as to appear nearly all pupil did not mark him as a foreigner, the elaborate detail and brightcolors of the embroidery along the cuffs and collar of his shirt and on his vest would give him away as a native of Somadios. The shirt itself is fine cream-colored linen, over which he is wearing a honey-colored vest. His pants are soft leather, similar to Gwaivorn's, over a pair of well-worn boots. Over all he wears a simply cut coat, also of leather, and rather than a cravat, he is wearing a choker made of bone pipe-beads, turquoise and silver. High on his left cheekbone is a stylized tattoo, recognizable as an owl. His hair is silver-shot light brown, bound with asilver-and-leather tie in a tight braid that reaches to the base of his shoulder-blades. He uses a cane to support himself, his right leg dragging slightly behind him. Despite his injury he carries himself as a soldier might, easy with the worn scabbard at his side. The hilt is unusual, long enough to be wielded two-handed and once elaborately carved, with a smaller guard than might be expected.

Father Thaddeus Vernotar Examedius (Peter J. Ross II) Human University Professor and Cleric of The Sacred Order of the Ardent Consolation; native of Saldon. An elderly human bent with age and sickness, Thaddeus has a pair of thick reading glasses perch at the edge of his long, beak-like nose. White hair forms a circlet around his bald head. His eyes are grey and he has a feverish, unwell flush.
