24. The Fresco Room: This room has been given to Oran Travendal for the duration of his stay. The room's walls are covered with lovely frescos of wilderness views; although they are Saldonian-style frescos, the subject matter is clearly not from the island. Like most of the guest rooms, this one contains a canopied bed, a wardrobe, a chest containing extra bedlinens, and a small night-table.

25. The Tapestry Room:

It is named for a phraetes carving of a stag that sits on the mantelpiece, and the stag's antlers over the fireplace. The room is well-appointed, with a canopied bed, a wardrobe, a chest containing extra bedlinens, and a small night-table.

27E. The Swordsman's Room (Above 21): This room has been given to Lord Jarret Black for the duration of his stay. It was named for a denizen in some previous generation; the appointments are simple, in complementary shades of grey and white. Like most of the guest rooms, it contains a canopied bed, a wardrobe, a chest containing extra bedlinens, and a small night-table.

27F. The Dragon Room (Next to 32): This room has been given to Gwaivorn Craban for the duration of his stay. 33. The Lion Room: This chamber, one of the largest and most comfortable guest rooms in the manse, has been given to Father Thaddeus and Joram for the duration of the aged professor's stay. The room derives its name from the lion's proud, snarling visage carved into the phraetes mantel of the fireplace. The room is comfortably furnished with a four-poster, canopied bed and a servant's cot. The canopies are heavy brown velvet to help keep out the cold drafts. A wardrobe holds guests' clothing and a chest at the foot of the bed holds extra linens. A small writing desk is also available with fine writing utensils. Candles sit on the mantel and on the desk.

34. The Poet's Room: This chamber, another of the largest guest rooms in the manse, has been given to Lady Morgana Cataline and Lady Annabel Nuncio for the duration of their stays. The room was named after some inhabitant long gone, but is richly furnished with two smaller canopied beds and one large wardrobe, and a chest with extra linens.
