Samru: Oracle's Answers (Shattering)

Oracle's Answers

DM's CLARIFICATION: When the Shattering Wars group went to the Oracle in Bahr al'Raml, they asked several questions. These are the answers (each one cost the group a magic item). The questions have been lost to time.

Isolate it from all that is life and energy, bury a pactblade in its heart, or place in its mouth a talisman of avertiis; or disperse the matter of its being with magic that only absorbs and does not radiate. Aught else is liable and likely to fail.

Nothing is utterly destroyed until it undergoes Nimesha. The one you seek rests in Attrament, and may yet be summoned forth, though not without cost.

The cost of summoning one whose link to Samru has been finally severed takes many forms; one such may not recover the link once it is gone, and the next death shall again be final; and in addition, there are those who await the return of one such, finding such more vulnerable to seduction and possession, control and confinement.

There are as many types of wishes as there are desires and beings that would cater to them. For what you desire you require an Archwish. Upon Samru, an archwish may be had by binding an Emporer of the Djinn; by wishing in the Opal Hall of Thrones; by awakening the Sleeping Power; by stealing the crowns of the 9 Regals of Mirablis; by drawing the Moon from a Deck of Power; by taking the jade armlet of the Imperial Vizier of Sherenyu-Ruk, by stealing the staff of the Concubine of Shadows; by completing a Grand Quest for a benevolant deity; and by wishing upon the Eyes and Heart of the Land's Greatest Evil.

To free the White One, you must place the Heart of Ramatap, the Crystal of Deadly Dreams, and the Prison's Key in the Pattern of Sun Ascending upon the lapis-lazuli panel within the Dragon-Imperate's lost palace.

To lay the Nachtim to rest, each must be hunted down and individually destroyed; for destroying the one called Rake will only give them free will to choose their own fates.

Would you rule by war, by deceit or by honor?
If by war, rally the might of the deserts beneath the Banner of the Murdering Sun; and then shall begin a carnival of death that will not end until the sun darkens, and you shall be the champion of it.
If by deceit, replace those whom the people love and honor with your own minions, and subvert them with false doctrine and poor advice; and then shall begin a decadence that will not end for a thousand years, and you shall be the cause of it.
If by honor, you shall not possibly triumph, for it is woven into the Origin of Samru that no honorable being shall rule all of the lands at once and at the same time.

The one called Rake plans for the Darkening, for the sun shall darken within a kevalin's lifetime, and then it may well be that armies of shadow shall best fight in the absence of light.

The land's greatest evil sleeps the sleep of the Essential Revelation in the Empire of the Ebon Depths.

The Dreaming One sleeps the sleep of the Essential Revelation in the heart of Reverie.
