Each rank wears its insignia on the upper left breast, the left upper arm, and on the shield and helmet (if applicable). Command of a fighting body does not automatically follow promotion; however, at any time this is the maximum number of men a military officer can lead under military law. In most cases, the actual fighting bodies are much smaller than the maximum allowed, as any one Domain simply doesn't have that many fighting forces.
