A Few of the Free Gargoyles


Adalane: "The Emperor" - stands 9' tall, with a heavily muscled man's torso, a serpent's body, and a dragon's serpentine head and batlike wings and extensible claws. Looks like something carved out of stone by HR Giger - shiny grey.

Balefire: stands 5' tall, slim and somewhat androgynous, with delicate features given a slanted cast. Carved completely out of red gemstone, with runes etched on the inside of the stone. One of the few gargoyles capable of using magic.

Griegor: stands 1' tall, small and humanoid with a faintly muzzle-like face, small rounded ears and wings. Griegor has the skill of eating books and retaining all the knowledge that he's eaten.

Belrix: stands 6' tall and humanoid, with claws and sharp, laid-back ears, carved of shiny grey stone. Belrix usually sits on a tombstone in the Necropolis.

Rosemary: 2' long, catlike, carved out of white marble with delicate black veins. Rosemary usually crouches in one of the nooks in the Hall of Records.

Rudior & Hubertillac: Paired gargoyles, humanoid with batwings, standing about 6.5' tall. Rudy and Hubert dwell in the Sepulchres and enjoy commingling with humans. They tend to eat stray cats.

Candlechime: 5' tall, white, humanoid, with a fox-like face and clawed hands, and feathered wings. Candlechime crouches on the Chancery.

Bonechalk: 7' tall and skeletal, carved much like a gaunt or starved man whose bones show through the flesh, with long curved talons on hands and feet. Bonechalk is an assassin.

Tearheart: 4' tall, childlike, white marble, with curly hair and angelic features, cloven hooves, a tail and small horns on his forehead.

Grasp: 8' tall and built like a badger, with huge claws, a hooked beak, scales and a fish's tail. Manic. Grey.

Taranthine: 6' tall, grey stone, a humanoid torso with a canine head and stag's horns.

Lysander: 6' tall, human body but a demon's head and batwings. Grey.

Always: 1' long, a lizard with feathered wings, very fleet and often used as a messenger. Black jet.

Lirie: 8' tall, built like a bull with spikes on its shoulders, longhorns, and sharp fangs. Grey.

Lillian: 5' tall, hawklike torso with human arms and hands tucked under its wings, and a monkey's hindquarters and tail. Grey.

Goldwing: 4' tall, an owl with four legs. So named due to gold chasing on its wings to emulate feathers. Black marble.

Cristopher: 7' tall, lion's head, torso and hindquarters, great feathered wings, no arms or hands. Fights with wingbattering and biting. White.
