I will not tell you that I am sorry to hear of your brother's demise. I have no family and do not understand this "pain" you are feeling from the loss of Cerrick Twill. Debts, however, are a reality of mortal existence which I do understand. I did not kill your brother, but in surviving his unprovoked attempt on my life, I incurred debts that cannot be renumerated monetarily. This is not an issue which I wish to discuss via letter. I am off to fight in the war against the elves, and when I return I would like for us to discuss this issue in person. I have no grudge against you, and I consider my business with your late brother to be finished. I'm sure we can work out an amiable solution to this matter.
