Mikhael,

You are correct. The problem is not quite what I expected. But I am glad we talked.

I am sorry about the rather flip comment I made about teleporting into Daniel's bedroom—I regretted it as soon as the words had escaped. And I truly did not think that was what you wanted; that would indeed have been the maneuver of a Lairunya, interested in only the pleasures of the body and the moment, rather than your already stated goal of a lifetime commitment to another person.

I do believe that is your goal, and as such I would like to suggest to you that you might want to find a way to use that as an opener for the discussion. You are quite skilled enough with words to find some way of doing so. I agree that it will not be easy, but then, this is a quite serious and difficult matter.

(And by the way—if you think you have nothing to offer a partner, consider that Daniel originally approached you when you had much less.)

This started out to be a simple invitation to dinner. Meet me at the Luckstone? I promise there will be nothing heavier served with dinner than perhaps the ale.

Nicholas
