I'm happy to see you (and glad Simon didn't slay you out of hand; he just has this thing about elves—it's beyond me). Now be a good kid and remember to tease Mik for me. Really, I can't believe my little brother is adventuring with US!! I mean, there's adventuring and there's ADVENTURING. Just another person to worry about, I suppose. Sigh. As for your adventure ... status quo, my dear brother, status quo! I've learned not to ask why. I don't think there's a good answer. Half the time I think I went along just to help keep Mik and Simon alive! You have to watch out for Mik for me (try to watch out for Simon, but I know how difficult that is, so I won't officially ask it of you). Someone has to watch out for him, and I can't do it from here! Laurie, can you think of some way that I could scry on you fellows while simultaneously letting you know that it's me and not some twisted psychopath plotting nefarious schemes against you? The least I could do is send in the cavalry (assuming I can find one) if things get really bad. And as for the fact that friends like these could get you killed ... it's better than, say, hanging out with Fhaarl, or playing noble courtier back home! And at least they are friends (it's not the friends Laurie, its the entire rest of the cosmos that is out to get us—or so I have come to believe, but I shouldn't let it worry you; I don't let it worry me). Of course I will help you celebrate your 100th! How about at the Vortex? Or would you prefer somewhere classier, like the Silver Bell? Oh, and a word of warning. You have probably surmised that Danny is like you in certain respects. This seems to make Mik rather uncomfortable. He's gotten used to Danny, but he was very, very skittish around him at first (probably because Danny seemed ... interested, at first). Just thought you'd like to know! Forewarned is forearmed. Oh, and remind me to tell you the story of the Bearded Bridesmaid sometime! It's a side-splitter! Just mention it and Mik is likely to turn an interesting shade of red!
