The Scintillating Company's Bracelets

These bracelets are still works in progress. The cost has been incredible, but they have been invaluable to the company. The DM is threatening to make them artifacts eventually.

All bracelets bear nine stones (except Mikhael, Daniel, & Angel's) and each stone is keyed to a particular wearer. The indicated stone is larger (5,000 gp value) on the bracelet belonging to the member of the Company it corresponds to, and is surrounded by smaller stones (1,000 gp value) of the other types.

Each bracelet acts as an automatic Nightscar. This Nightscar spell can be seen by the wearers of the other bracelets even if the wearer is protected by Non Detection, Mind Blank or similar spells. Additionally, the wearers of the bracelets have a constant mental link as per Rary's Telepathic Bond spell, which is also undeterred by mental protections. [This special caveat was embedded in the bracelets because at the time they were first made, Mikhael was suicidal and the rest of the group wanted to keep an eye on him.]

If a person wearing one of these bracelets falls unconscious (or reaches 0 hit points), their gem begins to glow on all other bracelets. This glow automatically draws the attention of the wearer, though at first it is not very bright. The bracelet glows more brightly as the person comes closer to death (increasing at -1 and -5 hit points), until the gem is at its brightest level (-10, death).

Note that any wearer on a different plane from the others registers as "dead," as will any person who removes the bracelet (or has it removed). [This has sometimes caused undue alarm in the party.]

Finally, the wearer may will his or her gem to pulse softly on all bracelets as an alert or alarm. [The Company has agreed that this alert is only to be used in the direst of emergencies.]
